I always knew I loved traveling and planning trips, but now I’m officially living out my dream with the OTM team. Growing up between South Carolina and Georgia, I was thankfully always able to travel to at least see my grandparents who lived in New York, West Virginia, and Florida. After going on a few cruises in middle school and a European adventure to Germany, Italy, and Greece in high school, I was completely hooked on travel.
In college, I took my first trip to Israel and loved it so much that I didn’t want to leave. I called my mom in tears wanting to stay and she told me I had to come back because I had dinner with my grandmother that night. Long story short, I went back six months later to spend two and a half months in the country. I’ve now been fortunate enough to visit Israel four times!
My travels have taken me to 29 US States and over 20 countries around the world, some more than once! While going back to countries is always fun, I love exploring new places to tick them off my checklist. I even have a goal since college to take a trip out of the country at least once a year. You could say I have the wanderlust gene, and even have a tattoo of the world to prove it!
I now live in Atlanta with my husband (and amazing travel partner), Zak, dog - Duncan, and cat - Simba! You can find me staying up to date on pop culture through social media, shopping at Target, flying on Delta Airlines, and of course, planning amazing trips!
Where was your honeymoon?
We went on a mini-moon in Miami, where we got married, and later I planned a beautiful trip to Hawaii!
What’s your favorite place on earth?
My favorite place I’ve visited so far is the Big Island, Hawaii. My favorite parts of this trip were the amazing west coast sunsets, Waipi’o Valley lookout, and snorkeling with Manta Rays (even though I got very sea sick)!
How did your journey with OTM begin?
I was first introduced to Over the Moon from someone else I follow on social media and was so envious of their honeymoon. After following OTM, I would constantly watch their stories to see where people were off to today. One day, they posted a story that their team was growing and I immediately reached out. I was in the process of planning a family trip to Spain and had butterflies at the possibility of turning my passion into a career. Lauren actually got the position first, but I persisted and a few months later I was offered the position! I still can’t believe I get to do this every day; it feels like the best dream!
What’s your favorite part of the job?
I love building relationships with my clients! Throughout our planning process I try to get to know each of you a little more and put myself in your shoes. Of course, I always get jealous of your trips, but also feel so much joy when you have an amazing time!
